Our history

We are a company specialized in citrus fruits that has a family heritage of four generations, started with its pioneer Ignacio Trapani, who migrated to Argentina from his native Sicily in 1908 and planted the first citrus plantations in 1937.

Ricardo Trapani, grandson of Ignacio, founded FGF TRAPANI in 2002 with the conviction of capitalizing and enriching the inherited spirit of work.

Our work culture is based on respect, innovation and excellence. We are committed to cultivating a positive organizational culture that generates a healthy and productive work environment, stimulates the development of our human capital and facilitates continuous quality improvement.

We have applied technology, knowledge and sustainability to become the largest producer and exporter of organic citrus in the southern hemisphere. Currently, we have plantations in Argentina and Peru.

Our industrial branch is a fundamental part of our operation. Today we process more than 100,000 tons of citrus fruits annually, including lemons, oranges, grapefruits and limes, for the extraction of their derivatives with a wide range of functional products for both gastronomy, cosmetics and health.

With the fourth generation of the family dedicated to this field, we have built a business vision that combines tradition and innovation, and we have incorporated professionals in key areas to strengthen our management and establish FGF Trapani as a leading global brand in the fresh citrus market and ingredients.

Our Plant

Our plant is located in the northwest of Argentina, in fertile lands with unique agroecological conditions. There we produce in a sustainable and responsible way, taking care of the environment and biodiversity, and we grow citrus fruits both organically and conventionally. Likewise, we have farms in Peru and commercial offices in Buenos Aires and Lima, which together drive our operation and project it to the world.

Our products

Fresh lemon and its derivatives are the heart of our productive offer. But we also grow large volumes of grapefruits and limes, completing a production capacity of more than one hundred thousand tons of fresh fruit per year, on farms in Argentina and Peru. The high quality of these products, added to the technological innovation and the commitment of our collaborators, has allowed us to position ourselves as one of the main suppliers of citrus fruits in the southern hemisphere, exporting to more than 35 countries on the five continents.
